Drum Circles
Drum with the rhythm of the earthh
Throughout the year, we gather to honour the Celtic Wheel of the Year through rhythm, ceremony, and connection. Each drum circle is an invitation to step into an ancient tradition - a way of marking time, celebrating the seasons, and strengthening the bonds of community that has been practised for thousands of years.
Our ancestors drummed to call in the light, to honour the harvest, to celebrate life, to grieve, to pray, and to connect with the unseen. When we drum in circle, we add our own heartbeat to that long, unbroken thread — becoming part of something far older and far wider than ourselves.
These gatherings are simple, affirming, and deeply human. They invite us to reconnect with the land, with the turning of the seasons, and with the quiet wisdom carried in the old stories and traditions of the British Isles.
What to expect at our drum circle
Each Wheel of the Year drum circle includes a gentle ceremony to honour the seasonal festival we are approaching, whether it’s the spark of Imbolc, the fire of Beltane, the abundance of Lughnasadh, or the deep ancestral wisdom of Samhain.
We begin by opening the drum circle with intention and welcoming in the energy of the season. Then, we drum together for grounding, for raising energy, for healing, and for whatever the evening calls for. The rhythm becomes a shared language - carrying us into deeper presence, connection, and belonging.
Throughout the evening, we weave in stories, folklore, and the old traditions of these lands, exploring how our ancestors may have celebrated this moment in the year and reflecting on how we might honour it today.
No experience is needed. The circle meets you exactly where you are.
Why come to a drum circle?
There is something incredibly powerful about a group of people drumming together.
-
It reconnects you with your own natural rhythm.
-
It brings you into harmony with others - without words, without pressure, without performance.
-
It grounds you in the present moment, helping the mind quieten and the body soften.
-
It awakens a sense of belonging - to community, to the land, to the turning of the seasons.
-
It offers a simple, joyful way to honour the old ways and keep these traditions alive.
Many people describe leaving a drum circle feeling lighter, clearer, more connected, and more rooted in themselves.

Testimonials
"I have had the absolute pleasure of sharing two of Joss’s Wheel of the Year gatherings now along with my good friend. One for the Summer Solstice/Alban Hefin held outside in the most beautiful sacred nature space amongst the wise trees and another for the Autumn Equinox/Alban Elfed held at her home. Being a Druid and following the Shamanic nature path, I was over the moon to find a wonderful group to share these special times with and also to talk freely about my beliefs and experiences. The warm welcome from Joss, her Husband and the other attendees was just lovely! Here’s to many more sharing of these special times together! Many Blessings /|\"
