About the Event
Do you want to learn to deepen your connection with your subconscious and experience the magical plant spirit medicine of Mugwort?Â
Under the powerful energy of the full moon, we will create a sacred ceremony to facilitate your connection with the unseen realms through the plant spirit medicine of Mugwort.
Mugwort's Latin name is Artemisia Vulgaris, after Artemis, Greek goddess of the moon. Artemis is also goddess of the hunt, making this month's Hunter’s Moon the perfect time to work with her. Mugwort is a gentle, non-hallucinogenic plant and is known as a powerful dream ally that can enable you to access profound wisdom, guidance and healing.Â
We will begin the evening by exploring the history, stories and healing power of Mugwort - how she has been used throughout the ages, and how you can work with her in the modern world. We will talk about where to find Mugwort grows and how to collect her in a safe and respectful way, as well as the different ways in which you can work with the plant spirit medicine that Mugwort offers.
We will then open our ceremony and set our intentions for the evening before taking Mugwort in a sacred tea ceremony. You will connect to the spirit of Mugwort through a guided shamanic drum journey, taking you deep into the plant spirit world, where you can receive wisdom, guidance and healing from Mugwort.
Throughout the evening we will explore the power of dreams, and reflect on ways in which you can enhance your dreams, remember and interpret them. You do not need to have had any previous experience of journeying, all you need is an open heart and an open mind, and an interest in nature-based spirituality.
Please read before booking
Allergies / side effects with Mugwort are rare. However, if you have any medical conditions or are taking any prescription medicine, or are receiving counselling / any other trauma-related therapy, please satisfy yourself that it is safe for you to take Mugwort.
Mugwort is not recommended if you are (or could be) pregnant, are trying to conceive or are lactating.
If you wish to join the ceremony but not take Mugwort during the evening, you are still very welcome to attend and you will still benefit from guidance, wisdom and healing from your journey.
Please note that by booking, you accept that it is your choice to take part in the ceremony and that you take full responsibility for your decisions and actions.
