About the Event
- Do you feel as though you’ve lost touch with the natural world around you?
- Does it seem like you are always too busy to take time for yourself?
- Do you want to truly connect with nature and learn how Mother Earth can help us heal in a completely holistic way?
Imagine lying down in a soft green meadow, listening to the wind whispering in the trees and the birds calling to one another as they fly high in the sky above you. A cricket chirps nearby as you feel the sun gently warming your skin. You breathe in the sweet scent of the grasses and flowers around you and with every breath, you sink deeper into the ground below you and you feel more at peace than you have felt in a long, long time…..
The Healing with Nature workshop, hosted by The Wild Edges, is a day to totally immerse yourself in nature and take your time to really notice what is around you. It’s a chance to unplug from the demands of modern life and remember what it feels like to be truly connected with the world outside.
During the day, you will journey into nature to gather wisdom from the animals, birds, plants and trees around you; you will take time to intentionally reflect on what you need in this moment and appreciate how nature can guide and support you physically, mentally, emotionally and on a soul level.
You will have the opportunity to learn nature connection practices that you can incorporate into your daily life to enhance your wellbeing: first, you will experience a mindful walk outdoors, using all your senses to fully experience the awesome power of nature, then deepen your connection further through shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing.
You will spend time exploring how our ancestors and indigenous peoples regard their relationship with nature and the symbolism and uses of different trees and plants. You will follow in their footsteps by foraging for and preparing a simple (and safe!) herbal remedy to take home with you.
The day will end with a beautiful ceremony to honour the spirits of the land, and a shamanic journey to seek tree spirit wisdom for guidance and healing.
Tickets: £75 (early bird) / £85 (full price)
