About the Event

Often considered a weed, the wild nettle is one of the most versatile of native British plants, with hundreds of uses from the mundane to the magical. Frequently associated with the pain of stings in childhood, this workshop will teach you how to work with nettle medicinally and spiritually in your daily life.

You’ll learn the myriad uses of nettle in the kitchen, the garden, the apothecary and as a spirit ally, whether for yourself or in your healing work with others. You’ll explore how our ancestors would have used nettle and learn how to recognise, harvest and prepare her safely and respectfully.

You’ll make your own nettle-based herbal remedy that you can take home with you and use whenever you might need it, learning valuable skills about herbal preparation, use and dosage, then you’ll take part in a tea ceremony to honour the spirit of nettle before undertaking a guided shamanic journey to seek wisdom, guidance and healing from her.

The workshop will start at 2.00 pm and finish at 5.30 pm.

Tickets are £40 (early bird) / £50 (full price) and places are strictly limited so booking is essential. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to other events if you change your mind or can no longer attend. In the unlikely event that we cancel the workshop, you will of course be given a full refund.

Once you have booked your place, we will email you with full details of the gathering, the address and what to bring with you. If you have any questions at all or any accessibility requirements you would like to discuss, please email thewildedges@pm.me

About me

I am an experienced and qualified shamanic practitioner and regularly hold sacred gatherings, where I guide people on shamanic journeys. I work with plant medicine both practically and spiritually and have worked closely with all the plants in the plant spirit healing series, building deep relationships with them as plant spirit teachers.

Please read before booking

Allergies / side effects with nettle are rare (with the obvious exception of stings). However, if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, lactating, have any medical conditions or are taking any prescription medicine (especially anti-coagulants, blood pressure medication, diuretics, drugs for diabetes or NSAIDS), or are receiving counselling / any other trauma-related therapy, please satisfy yourself that it is safe for you to take nettle. If you wish to join the workshop but not take nettle in the tea ceremony, you are still very welcome to attend.

Please note that by booking, you accept that it is your choice to take part in the workshop and that you take full responsibility for your decisions and actions.

You do not need to have had any previous experience of journeying, all you need is an open heart and an open mind, and an interest in nature-based spirituality.
