About the Event

Prized by chefs and winemakers for its fragrant flowers and berries, elder also has many magical associations and is steeped in mythology throughout the Celtic world, symbolising protection, and it’s said that if you stand under an elder tree on Midsummer’s Eve, you’ll catch a glimpse of the fae.

In this workshop, you’ll learn about the culinary and medicinal properties of elder and how to prepare immune-boosting remedies for different ailments, reflecting on how our ancestors would have used elder in their daily lives. You’ll make your own safe and effective elder-based remedy that you can take home with you, learning valuable skills about preparation, use, storage and dosage.

You’ll also learn how you can work with elder to support your personal and spiritual growth, taking part in a ceremony to honour the spirit of the plant before undertaking a guided shamanic journey to seek wisdom, guidance and healing from her.

The workshop will start at 2.00 pm and finish at 5.30 pm.

Tickets are £40 (early bird) / £50 (full price) and places are strictly limited so booking is essential. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to other events if you change your mind or can no longer attend. In the unlikely event that we cancel the workshop, you will of course be given a full refund.

Once you have booked your place, we will email you with full details of the gathering, the address and what to bring with you. If you have any questions at all or any accessibility requirements you would like to discuss, please email thewildedges@pm.me

About me

I am an experienced and qualified shamanic practitioner and regularly hold sacred gatherings, where I guide people on shamanic journeys. I work with plant medicine both practically and spiritually and have worked closely with all the plants in the plant spirit healing series, building deep relationships with them as plant spirit teachers.

Please read before booking

Raw elderberries are toxic but when prepared properly, allergies and side effects are rare. However,  it is known to boost the immune system so if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, lactating, have any medical conditions or are taking any prescription medicine (espcially immuno-suppressants), or are receiving counselling / any other trauma-related therapy, please satisfy yourself that it is safe for you to take elder. For a comprehensive list of contraindicators, please click here. If you wish to join the workshop but not take elder in the tea ceremony, you are still very welcome to attend.

Please note that by booking, you accept that it is your choice to take part in the workshop and that you take full responsibility for your decisions and actions.

You do not need to have had any previous experience of journeying, all you need is an open heart and an open mind, and an interest in nature-based spirituality.
